Paralyzed poult

Thread Starter

I have 10 Red Bourbon poults who are all doing great. However, the smallest of the flock has begun to look a little twisted. His head is turned towards his back. He seems to be moving okay (although unable to look forward), but he's only half the size of the others. Should I cull him from the flock or let him be? He doesn't seem to be in any kind of respiratory distress, but turkeys are new to me. Any advice?

9 hens, 1 rooster, 2 fat corgis, 1 skinny greyhound mix, 1 Appaloosa mare, 1 gelding and 1 husband who puts up with the insanity!

Sounds like he may have wry neck. A common occurence in turkeys, especially Bourban Reds. It can be treatable, let me try to get some links for you.
