This is a very strange thing, I've never seen this before!!!

We have two little girls, one BO and one Australorp. They are free-range and have a very nice coop. They're around 2 years old, and they're slowing down on egg process. My stepdad called me out, and I came out to look, and it turns out that my girls have made a lair in our blackberry bushes!!! Trimmed with thorns, they sure do know how to conceal their 'home' from raccoons!!!

Entrance (hidden, eh?)-

Inside the first area (the egg area, I call it, lift up the leaves above in the 1st and you can see inside):

The secondary area (completely hidden, unless looking specifically for it):

The other way in:

It's incredible, the structure they've put together! The place is COVERED in thorns, and they can get in and out! Very smart, Ammy and Pepper, very smart.

That's so cool. That made a little fort! big_smile.png

Chickens are definitely smarter than we give them credit for.

Mark 11:22-23

"Have faith in God," Jesus answered. "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.

I was very shocked to see what they'd done as well! It's very clever, I'll give them that!
