If you give me your email address I could send you pictures of him and his legs..

Sounds to me like his knees/tendons are fine: The back of his knees would look totally flat if the tendons had slipped. It would be very noticeable....you would not be able to miss it. Imagine your finger knuckle smashed flat and that would be what it looked like.

The issue is more than likely some sort of nutritional one from what you are describing. He may be weak from malnutrition or vitamin deficiencies.

IF you can find some Save-a-Chick powder you may add that to his water (carry it at Tractor Supply). Their is also an infant vitamin you can buy...someone will know what it is. You may also give him some Pedialyte  or the fake version mixed with his water.

If he doesn't seem to be fevered, you do not want to give him antibiotics.

Brewers yeast will be the best route to try immediately: Health food stores carry it. I don't know if WalMart or Walgreens would have it in their supplement section. You should be able to call and find out if they carry it. However, Celtic is very knowledgeable and may be close enough to offer aid.

You can post photos on here very easily. Press the button that looks like a little painting beside the film looking one. That will allow you to browse your hard drive for photos. It may take a bit to load if the file size is large, but it will load.

I have a baby goose maybe 6 weeks old doesn't have all of its feather yet either and when I noticed it was limping them progressively slowed down until it was barely walking at all. I separated it from the others placed in back in our brooder but this seemed to make it worse so I brought it in the house and for the last four days have taken it outside with the others and am placing it in the water for about 10 minutes at a time four times a day. after four days it is walking again, very weakly and woobly but still walking. It started by trying to stand and would just fall forward on its face I was worried it would hurt itself but it gets stronger everyday.

Any suggestions of what else I might do for it.

I would try doing some of the things mentioned in the post above yours. Sav-A-Chick & brewers yeast couldnt hurt.

Walmart does carry brewer's yeast in pill form.  I ran some thru my coffee grinder so I can sprinkle it on food.

The baby vitamin is Polyvisol.  Walmart also carries it. as do most pharmacies.
