Thread Starter

Hello from SW Ontario , Canada . New to chickens ,have been mulling over the idea of getting some for about a year now. Found you're website and have been reading non- stop til my head aches and it's way past time to go to bed !  You are all so helpful and the information for newbies like myself is endless and very much appreciated .

I have decided to take the plunge and am going to my local feed store today to order some

day old chicks .I am thinking of getting Cochin for sure and would like to know if they will get along well with maybe Brahmas ?hu.gif Your opinions would be appreciated   Just thinking about the size difference here ..wouldn't want anyone getting picked on..

Planning to start the coop this weekend and it will be 4x8 with 3 nesting boxes  attached to the outside.

Quite excited to be getting into all of this clap.gif this group will be my go to for backup , Thanks again for all of your knowledge bow.gif

Home of the world's cutest dachshund, one crazy blue heeler, two cats,
one fat pony, and many (but not too many!) chickens

Can anyone tell me, how many are too many chickens?
