My Diary (Told from the perspective of Little Foot- now with revisions by Miracle!) - Page 42

Day 64

 

Today, Mir and I got a cuccumber. I just stared at it for awhile (Mir: While I ate most of it) then finally ate some. But Mir hogged it all (Mir: Did NOT.)... fine, Mir.  Anyways, Tomorrow, we get more cuccumber!

 

Day 65

 

Today, we had some 'tornado watch'. It was really windy and rainy and thundery. (Mir: I was standing out in the run, soaking wet. Ella was smart enough to go inside.) Mir just stood out there, getting rained on, until I pulled her in. Malibu came out late to put us in, but it was still a good day. Tomorrow, I get to free range with Mir.

 

Day 66

 

Today, (mir: We ran around outside. Malibu sold cuccumbers, which I wanted to eat them all. They built this funny thing that moves when the wind blows. Malibu's farm stand blew over and most of the veggies got squashed. It was sad, as that meant less cuccumbers for me.) Ahem. And me. (Mir: Oh yes. And Ella.) Tomorrow, it is supposed to be sunny.

 

Day 67

 

Today was sunny! (Mir: We got 'sunflower seeds'. Malibu takes the shell off and we get the white stuff inside and it's all yummy.) Yes, sunflower seeds are yummy. We free ranged, now that Mir doesn't run into the woodpile. I have decided that it would be fun to run from Malibu's hand when I see her. I figured out how to get under the straw and I sleep under there. (Mir: And I do too! Tomorrow, we get sunflower seeds.)

Clear skies ^-^ I'm gonna make polymer charms of Ella and Mir. Or just Ella. Mir has too many colors I will do a video tutorial though. I have always wanted to do one ;v;

Why is Ella running from my hand now? She starts doing the predator cluck then hides her face in the corner, and runs when I pet her, but once I grab her she's the sweetest thing. She used to fly up onto my shoulder

Day 68

 

Today was fun. (Mir: We saw Hawk again. He swooped down to say hello!) Mir, he swooped down to try to EAT US. (Mir: NOOOOOOO!!!!! Hawk is my FRIEND.) Okay, whatever you say Mir... (Mir: Thank you. Anyways, It rained. And rained. And rained and rained and rained and rained and rai-) Mir, we get the point. (Mir: Okay. Anyways, tomorrow, we get to free range with the big girls!)

 

Day 69

 

Today was interesting. Mir was talking to Hawk again... (Mir: Yup. He was chasing after 'sparrows'. I don't know what they are, but apparently they're evil little birds.)  Mir, I already told you... sparrows are good and hawks are- (Mir: Yes, I know, bad. But Hawk is different. Anyways, we got to free range with the big girls until it started raining again. Tomorrow, we get sunflower seeds.)

 

Day 70

 

Today, Malibu showed us a 'polymer clay' charm thing. (Mir: It was shiny and pretty. I went to peck at it but Malibu wouldn't let me. I wonder why. Anyways, we got a TOMATO. It was red and delicious. Apparently it was a 'reject'. It was split. But it was yummy.)  Mir has finally learned that Tomatoes are food, not friends... Tomorrow, we get more tomato.

 

Day 71

 

Today, we got more tomato but the big girls hogged it all. (Mir: Yup. Petrie is mean. I went to eat some and she pecked me. Anyways, I went into the big girls' coop and Seana grabbed me and pecked me so I ran out and jumped up on top of my coop and then ran under Ella. She protected me and pecked back, hackles raised and all. That's why I love her.) Tomorrow, maybe Mir will let me do a diary entry.

 

Day 72

 

Today, Malibu found something on Mir... I'll let HER tell y'all what it is..... (Mir: IT ITCHESSSS!!!!!!! GAAAHHHH!!!! Oh. Hi there. I have lice. And they laid eggs. In my beard. GET IT OFFFFFF!!!!) While Mir is flailing around the coop, I'll tell you how she got them.  Petrie has lice. When she pecked Mir, some lice got on her. Now, they laid eggs and Malibu has to treat both of us. Being a chicken is SO HARD. Tomorrow, Mir gets a bath or whatever the treatment for lice is.
