Mir: Thanks! It itchesssssssss.

Petrie: Thanks! Malibu checked me out and I actually don't have any!  Say, can any of y'all tell me how to lay an egg? Malibu's getting mad at me for not laying while all my sisters at a different house are.

 

 

Day 71

 

Today was horrible. I was SO ITCHY. (Mir: SO WAS I.)  So, Malibu took four buckets, filled each one with water, then put salt in the first one, dawn dish soap in the second, vinegar in the third and left the fourth one plain. Mir had a bath first... it was GROSS. She smelled like VINEGAR. (Mir: It was SO GROSS. It was terrible. Apparently we have lice and MICE!) Mir, it was lice and MITES. not mice. Anyways..Then Malibu blow dried her and put her in a dog cage. (Mir: Malibu was wearing a pretty pink hat (malibu: A shower cap, I didn't want lice too :P) the entire time.) Then it was my turn... I HATED IT. But I stopped itching! I was put in a dog cage with Mir and then Malibu power washed the coop and scrubbed it clean. Then, we went back in. (Mir: Malibu is going to put 'DE' in the coop when it gets to the feed store in three days.) Tomorrow, Malibu will check and see if there are any more.

Oh dear! Poor girls, hope they get lice & mite free soon! We have a barred rock with scaly mites, and they won't go away! Gah! rant.gif

I am crazy about a lot of things. Chickens, reading, writing stories, and most importantly my King, Jesus. :D

Oh gosh. I was holding Mir and then all of the sudden, these tiny red things were ALL OVER MY HAND and I freaked out and was like "Momtherearemitesonmyhands!!!!!!" (in english, that's 'Mom there are mites on my hands!!!!") Then we found lice as well. That was horrible, so I bathed her again and the mites all drowned >:3 REVENGE. All the lice died the first time though. :3 They look like tiny, yellowy termites sickbyc.gif

Eewww, I hope they get better!!! How did they get these?

 

 

Junior: Petrie, I'm glad that you don't have lice and mice.

Bisquick: Junior mites.

Junior: No, Bisquick, Mir said mice.

Bisquick: But then, Ella said mites

Junior: oohhh.

My friend had Liechtenstein when she came over a week ago. We had no clue, and now Mir has them from my friend. Ella had more mites than I've seen on pictures o.o she's better now :3

Eta- darn autocorrect ._. *lice. Not liechwhatever. tongue.png

Poor chickens... :( I'm glad they're better (Wait- is Mir better too?).  And btw, I really enjoy reading Ella's (and Mir's!) diary!!!

I am the daughter of the King of kings, raised and educated by the wonderful parents He has given to me on earth! He has also blessed by with five amazing little animals- CHICKENS!!!!!
