nest boxes

ok my hens sleep in their nest boxes and they keep them dirty. how do i break them from this? At first I didn't have their roost up, now I have 2 nice roost up and they still sleep in the nest boxes. I put one on the roost and she acted like she didn't know what was going on please help

Obstruct nest box just before birds go to roost and remove obstruction first thing in morning,  Repeat for a couple days.

Well, The girls are sleeping on their roost celebrate.gif, and I didn't get to block the nest boxes so now I don't have to. I am hopeing fl.gif this means we will soon get eggs clap.gif
