The picture earlier in this thread is the same bird ... he is the one I originally asked for a color association since I am new and wanted to know what I had. He is about 14 months old now and has a purple father and a black shouldered mother. Those spots in his tail ... the ones I had refefrred to as "eyes" are pure white and are located exactly where the adult eyes would be, which is why I asked.

And yes ... that is my two year old that I have no idea what the heck colors he has in his background at all. Bought at an auction because I just HAD to have him after he spent almost two and a half minutes simply staring at me from the too small box with no room to move ... asnd "speaking" to me the way only a peacock can do. :-)

He is beautiful for sure and yes they do speak to you , ya just have to listen.

The other is the black shouldered, i thought it was from the last photo, all that white will disappear as it gets older.

That makes me sad, I mean that all of the white will go away. But thank you for the compliments on Salsa. He is very pretty but now he's molting his tail. It was pretty mangled from the auction trip and trauma so no good feathers to keep. But still, he will grow better ones now for sure! :-)
