New Chick Help!! Please Help!!

Okay I got a very young I think only 3-5 day old chick. The people who gave it to me gave it wet mashed up bread. I gave it washed up chick started crumbles. The chick pecked at it yesterday but won't eat today!! She drinks the water. Today she didn't eat and barely drank. Someone please help!! She is still full of energy.

Well if shes not eating than perhaps if you give her some corn water (water from frozen then melted corn) she will like the taste and it will push her to eat something.... Idk Hope it all goes well. Just so you know she will be okay if she doesnt eat for a day or to, it wont kill them like if they dont drink water... so you should be okay :) Good Luck!
 
To help the babies drink, try putting your finger in the water and bringing a drop of water to her beak. She'll drink it and likely want more, so repeat the process, moving your finger closer to the water bowl/drinker each time, until she drinks. Good luck!
 
If you want her to drink pick her up and hold her over the water, then tilt her forward so that her beak is in the water then take her beak out let her swallow then do it a few more times. This will teach her to drink water. You should get another chick also. They can get very lonley, and they learn from seeing others do something.
