My name is Sam I just joined. I am relatively new to raising chickens. I had raised 9 road island reds last year that a were mostly wiped out by an unknown predator. I have started anew this year. I joined to learn more about chickens and how to care for them.

Hello and welcome-byc.gif

Sorry to hear about last year's flock! hugs.gif Better luck this time round, I hope everything goes well. Are you going to get RIR's again?

Don't hesitate to ask any questions you might have, and enjoy the site, big_smile.png

Hi and welcome to BYC from northern Michigan big_smile.png

Home of the world's cutest dachshund, one crazy blue heeler, two cats,
one fat pony, and many (but not too many!) chickens

Can anyone tell me, how many are too many chickens?
