How old are chickens when considered grown and wont grow much any more?
Spring I bought 11 tiny ballls of fluff. A few weeks and they needed a tractor coop and run .4x8x4 run,2X4 triangular coop. Then i realized they were still growing and the triangular coop was too small in no time so built a rectangular coop 4x2x2.
They love it and fit fine but for just sleeping,. but then the tractor run soon seemed small ,so have built an extension to the run 2x8x2. With coop its a total 20' long tractor "train"
.They look grown now but are they? This run looks ok and i do move it daily , but doesnt look REAL roomy either
They are about 3 1/2 months old now.So far i have built one large winter coop,.2 tractor coops and 2 runs since March and i am sort of getting weary of building for the chickens.

LOL. When chicken math takes over you will be glad of all the extra accommodation options. They are mostly grown by 6 months but will continue to grow slowly until about 12 months of age. You probably won't notice much visual difference though, from 6-12 months.

OMG they all look pretty big to me now!! Guess i better get the wood and saw out again!
Thanks for the response.

"Grown" to me is about 7 months for my hens. They seem to get done growing by then, but my rooster is still growing...
