Grandkids and I went fishing and ended up chasing chicks lol

No houses by the creek where we fish and here come some little chicks about my chicks size hopping and scratching around the deadwood and dirt. The kids chased and chased them but we never caught one. They looked like pullets, just how far can chicks wonder? The nearest house had to be 2 miles away.
I guess now when we go to the fishing hole we have to watch for snakes and wild feral chickens:lol:
