17 silkies at 4 weeks old

Thread Starter

Hello, can anyone tell me if it is okay to pick the lose fuzz off my 4 week old silkies.  Some of them keep getting the fuzz in their eyes.  I don't want to hurt them or stop their great fluffliness in the future.  This is my first experience with silkies, we incubated 20 eggs (our first attempt) and 17 hatched and are just adorable.  I love these guys!  Just want to male sure plucking will be ok.

I never plucked any of mine...but, if it is loose, there is no reason you can't remove it.  It won't effect the adult feathering.
