Some of my Babies

Thread Starter

Hi all,

Just wanted to share some pics of our new babies. We love all types of birds! The first picture is of Connor. He's a male parrotlet and about twelve weeks old now. He's so sweet, loves to cuddle, sings all the time, loves his swing! Just an amazing little birdie full of so much love & energy...the second one is Scooter....he/she is only about ten weeks old, so too young to quite tell the sex yet, but we're leaning towards a male. The last picture is of Zach & Xena...they are still pretty young as well, only about twelve weeks old...we're hoping it's a male and a female! They are both very sweet and energetic little teils. All birds were hand fed and aer handlded every single day! We may breed in the future, not sure yet...we do have some breeder cockateils and a pair of breeder parrolets, so might have some babies in the future...fingers crossed! You all have a great day and if you like check us out on the web at http://meschelelaisaviary.com. We raise & breed Chinese & African button quail as well.

Got a question for you,You say you have african button quial? Are you sure their not african harlequin quial? If so,they should not be bred to buttons. These birds were on the endangered species list not to long ago and they need to be kept pure for the future.I've attached pics of both male and female african harlequins in pure form. They do look similiar to the original wild type button quial and I think people are getting them mixed up.Please if you have harlequins, keep them pure.
