Stressed pullets

Question: My pullets are panting, I clipped their "flight" wings today and it is hot.  So I put some ice in their coop in a bowl, gave them scratch and mealworms as a treat.  I worry that I have stressed them out too much.  Any other ideas to cool them down and de-stress them.

They should calm down at least by tomorrow. Keep water available, don't force anything down. If you see them have the runs, that's normal for a stressed out chicken.

Are they typically hearty.  I just don't want them to die.  They are my daughters world.  I will leave them alone for now.  Thank you.
