No, he's not been fought though he was probably in a sense a "battery roo". If he had been fought he would have had his comb and wattles cropped off. The middle one is probably a frazzle, which means that both it's parents were frizzles resulting in poor feather quality.

I have 18 chickens, one kitten, 3 dogs, 2 hermit crabs, and live on 20 acres in the country. I am CrAzY about chickens and plan on getting more! I am continually working to better my chicken practices and to better my flocks.

He is just going thre a hard molt like some hens do and he does look like a frizzle

heres one of mine before and during a hard molt

berry molting.jpgI did not think to take any more photos of him after this but he was darn near featherless before it was over.

I'm pretty sure those three pictures aren't even the same bird.

 

The first is just a normal chicken.

The second is a frazzle or a chicken going through a hard molt.

The third is that picture floating around of the featherless chicken developed for meat in hot areas.

 

ETA: These three pictures can all be pulled off the internet.

It didn't think it was the same bird, but a friend sent it to me in an email and I thought it was funny ..
