Pharaoh, filled with curiosity, stuck the tip of his beak out. he then stuck the first half of his face out, and stopped there.

"Aha," the chick said. "Thats it, follow the marshmallow." she started to move slowly away, hoping the rooster would follow. "Well ill be" the hen said. The rooster just smiled and picked up the younger chick. The dog growled a bit, but the rooster stopped him. the older chick said quietly, "See, i told you there was something."

 

Mason watched angered at Pharaoh. He didnt move, just watched.

Pharaoh, wanting to see the white thing, moved more and more out. He jumped back at the sound of the dog, then a memory flashed in his mind of a little chick who used to love him as a chick. He relaxed a bit and looked up at the big chick.

The chick smiled. She tore a small piece of the white thing and put it on the ground. "That is a wild animal, you be careful!" the hen told her, but the rooster just shook his head and gestured for her to sit. "I wont hurt you, and you wont hurt me" the chick said.

 

Mason shifted causing very little noise.

Pharaoh looked at the marshmallow, smelled it, and decided that it didn't smell like much. He walked over to the chick, looking up at her curiously and sitting down by her feet.

The chick smiled and laughed. "They are good" she said. She ate the rest of the marshmallow. She sat down to, interested in Pharaoh. "I've never seen such a docile wild animal" she said. "Should i name him?" "NO" the hen immediately said. But the rooster smiled. "Of course. We only live right there. You could even visit him every day if you wanted to." "Ill name him" she thought for a moment, looking at the glorious white bird. "Marshmallow. Marsh for short"

Mason couldnt take much more. He silently walked over to where Pharaoh had been hissing. "Pharaoh" he hissed.

 

The chick looked up. "Is there another? Do you have a friend Marsh?" she smiled and brushed her hand along his back.
