Pharaoh sat in his tree, and watched the camp, making sure the human understood his message. He wanted to at least see her one last time.

Mason watched too. he kept his eye on where he thought Pharaoh was. 

 

Gabby came back and picked up something off the ground. She saw the message. A tear trickled down her cheek. "Pharaoh?" she whispered.

Pharaoh shed a tear too, and wished he could stay. He jumped out of the tree and into the bush, then left, his comb pale and floppy from sadness. He walked into the camp, then jumped into another tree, dissapearing into it and laying there.

Gabby looked at the thing in her hand. She placed it down on the heart. It caught the sunlight and sparkled. She took out a sharp object and in a tree nearby carved out the words "Gabby and Pharaoh, i will miss you" in a heart. "Pharaoh, take it." she said looking at the shiny thing on the ground. She left.

 

Mason walked over to the shiny thing and picked it up. It was a necklace. He walked back to camp. He gave it to Heather.

Pharaoh came out of his tree, kind of tumbled down, landing on his feet. He walks over to a tree, and jumps up to kick it, but misses. He shakes his head, then attacks the tree. Then he stopped and laid down next to the tree, and sunbathed.

The sun set behind the trees. Heather called to Pharaoh. "Come" she said, roosting on the oak, Arya a few branches below her.

"Thanks." Pharaoh said, grasping the necklace and jumping into another tree, looping the necklace around his neck and under his feathers so it didn't show. He sighed, wishing he could go back to her and stay. He didn't want to leave the flock; nor his friend. He wonders if Daisy's egg hatched yet.

HEather looked at him angrily. "Pharaoh! We are not done. When having a meeting with your leader, you wait for them to dismiss you"
