What wattage bulb do you use in brooder ?

What wattage bulb do you use in your brooder? I figured out I need a red bulb, but unsure of the wattage necessary. It seems most big (4in?)red ones are 250 that I see in the hardware store. In the pet store I see smaller bulbs (2in?) ranging from 50-150. I've also seen ceramic heaters at the pet store in the lizard section. 90-95 degrees at floor level to start correct?

Any and all advice welcome.

depends on the size of the brooder and where it's located.
