Black Princes

No not a new breed of chickens, but my 8 week old cockerels who have little crowns on their heads.

 

I look forward to seeing what these guys look like when they are fully grown.

 

The 'crown' arises from a cross between the 'horns' of La Flèche and a pea comb.IMG_7169.jpgIMG_7182.jpg

what breed did u use that had a pea comb??? very cool looking... i have a banty rooster that looks close to that he is 1/2 polish and 1/2 OEGB...

Father would be a Blue Partridge Brahma (I think!). The leg feathers certainly suggest him.

 

They are already a good size at 8 weeks.
