You might be mad at the guy but maybe he really didn't know that he sold you the wrong eggs or chicks hopefully. Plus it is not nice to bash someone just because you are all upset over what happened. It sounds like the guy is willing to let you take them back to him for a full refund so at least he is standing by his chickens for you. It sometimes happens to the best people. I wouldn't hold a grudge on him for what happened. Life is to sort to get upset over everything in life and not healthy for you either. I hope the best for you and your family. Hopefully you can move on from this and laugh and joke about it later. Just give it more time. Good luck and have a great night.

lol...2,4, 6, and 5 are mine ;-) they are sooooo pretty...i might have been made at first but those are by far way to pretty to stay mad at 

I don't think anyone means to make light of the fact that you were not sold what you were promised.  I'm sorry if that's how you felt.  We have all been in a position that we didn't get what we wanted.  I purchased a hamburg pullet and ended up with a little OEGB roo!  Someone had mixed the chicks up at the feed store.  Mistakes happen, things get mislabeled.  Those of us who love OEGBs really would have been thrilled by the mistake. 

theres no reason to turn him in for anything, mistakes happen all the time. yes you will get up set just like i would but everyones human and we make honest mistakes its what makes us human and understanding that mistakes like this happen is another part of being human. at least he is willing to give you a refund on the chicks as there are many many people out there who wouldnt do that. maybe he had a rooster jump the fence that he didnt know about, thats happened to me before i incubated some of my d'uccle eggs and ended up with some mixes some how that looked similar to my oegb, i just wasnt going to sell them cause at hatch they looked a bit off...did all the chicks look like chip monks when you bought them? i even got some silkie eggs that once hatched and feathered out were mixes and i spent almost 50 on them, i did email the seller about what had happened and they apologized and refunded all but 20 for them because thats what i told them they could keep if they were willing to refund me for the miss hap. mind you im not a novice at chickens but with those chicks that look so much a like its easy to confuse them with another breed. 

i honestly think you are over reacting and need to calm down please we are all here to help and share our experiences and help with one another not hurt or be mean. and its the honest truth a lot of us on here would love those chicks but at the same time we would talk to the seller and see what the seller is willing to do with the miss hap and how they fix it before even thinking about turning them into anyone. hatcheries even make these type of mistakes since certain chicks look so much a like.

i dont think i will ever understand why people get so upset/mad over honest mistakes

what is his excuses that he is using? try setting a date and time for you to go by with the chicks, dont text or call just go over there at the time and day that it was planned if he contacts you to reschedule do it once after that one time then call them a bad seller.  i try to accommodate any buyer to whats best for them but if i end up having something that cant be avoided well i have to reschedule and with 3 kids it does happen pretty often unfortunately. 

To be fair, no one reading here has a full account of every conversation, explanation, etc. that Doctor Gonzo has gone through with this seller. I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt on whether the seller deserves a negative review, or on the flip side of the coin, if future buyers should be warned that their experiences with the seller might not be good.

Which isn't to say that those who disagree with him are wrong. They could well be right. I'm just not sure it's possible, in a forum like this, to get enough of the story without DG having to spend way too much of his time writing down all his interactions.

Angie's List is not used enough in my area to be a super-useful venue, but Doctor Gonzo, maybe it is in yours.
