brown chicken is what?

I'd love advice on what breed(s) and gender this chicken might be.

About 11 weeks old here, purchased as week-old chick from the "some of my chickens were in one pen during a cold spell" selection. The breeder had, among many others I didn't see, Black Copper Marans, Light and Coronation Sussexes, and American Game Fowl.

FWIW his chickens all looked beautiful, clean, and well-cared-for in separate breed enclosures. The chicks I've bought from him have been livelier, faster-growing, and to my eye prettier than my hatchery chicks.

Here is Java (name, not breed):

And her feet:

The pattern looks to my beginner's eye like a bad imitation of golden-laced Wyandotte, but I wondered if other breeds have this coloration.

Many thanks!

it kinda looks like a mix, how old is it?? It dont look like any of the breeds u listed. The sussex would have Single combs,  Not a marans, Dont look very Wyandotte to me...., Not a game fowl....Idk what it is, REally Pretty Tho!! U should bring her to where u got her and ask what it is

It's about 11 weeks old. I remember the breeder mentioned Dark Cornish but I wasn't sure if he was joking.

When I went back to buy some sussexes, I described the one above. He seemed regretful and said he doesn't remember exactly what breeds he had in that pen at that time. No help from that quarter I'm afraid.

She is a mixed breed.

Silver Ameraucanas, Blue Bredas, Partridge Chanteclers, and Bantam Spangled Russian Orloffs.

Do you mean it's too much to expect someone to say, "One-Quarter Lavender Ameraucana, one-quarter Denizli Long Crower, and one-half Golden Laced Lakenvelder"?

(joking)

I think "mixed" is as good as we're gonna get!

Just thought I'd update (although I don't know if people even see the old threads) . . .

16 weeks old. She's getting really blocky/chunky compared to my other chickens. I wonder if she might be part Dark Cornish after all?

Not that it matters -- just wondering!
