Great duck waterer

Hi I found an excellent waterer from strombergs if anyone needs one. I plan on going away a lot this year and needed an auto waterer deep enough for them to dunk their heads in and I thought others might want to look into it! They load them with mud, rocks, sticks and everything else they can carry and clog them up right proper and very quickly too. Ours even put stuff in the larger auto waters for the goats.

This looks fantastic for my coup! My ducks can't clog it up with things they don't have access to. No rocks or sticks inside their coop (for night time only anyway) and they have to step up to drink (we have drop tray thing). Thanks for posting this! This sure would be easier than the 6 waterers my kids have to rinse wash and refile 2 times a day.

Lol it's pricey but i thought it was worth it! I bought one and it said it'll be here's by Friday! I'm excited! My ducks also have no access to anything but grass. And I'm putting it on a wire box thingy so there's no mud around it.

They will also load them with bedding, they will carry food to them and dirt too. We do no water in their houses as adults they don't need food and water at night so no need to have that mess source available.

I'm gonna keep it in the run. Not in the duck house

I'm using a horse auto waterer in their house at night. Nice deep bowl to dunk their heads in, attaches to the wall, and is very durable.

I wish I didn't need to. In the winter maybe I won't but our summers are 100-115 degrees and even at dark there is a lot of residual heat and my poor Pekins especially pant like mad even if it's 90 outside after sunset. Even at 9pm it is quite warm here. I read that in warm temps like that I would need to keep water in their coop. Am I mistaken? Will they be ok for 12 hours without food or water in hot temps like this overnight?

Idk. At my old coup they lived in a mesh run with an enclosed pond and a shed so they did whatever they wanted. ( I made both predator proof)
