Wow!!! your coop is amazing! You all have put some real hard work and thought into your design.

I know that the chickens will just love it.

Your modular home is beautiful too. I love in a modular as well and love it. The best house that I ever had.

Your dogs are so cute too. pop.gif

Thank you so much. The modular in the pic, behind the Hawks is our neighbor behind us, they're like two acres away. But our house is also a modular, and I really do love it. Most of the houses here are modulars, I'm guessing because they were easier to build way out here. The only change I want to make to ours is the exterior covering. Right now it's some sort of crazy cheap siding, not even vinyl, and I really want something that resembles wooden shakes. There are a bunch a Eco friendly made types I'm looking at. I want the house to have a bungalow look.
The hard part is convincing my husband that the cost is totally worth it tongue.png

It is really easy to make changes on modular homes. We just put a metal roof on our home because

we had a tornado outbreak last April that did some pretty good wind/hail damage.

A Bungalow look would be so cute, it is totally worth it!!

I love metal roofs! Quite a few of the houses around us have them, ones red, one blue and one looks purple.

Well the winds are pretty heavy today and blowing in the smoke from the fires. My mountain views are completely hazy. The wind needs to stop, and it needs to start raining already. Sure hope those fire fighters are ok out there, and I wonder if they've found the cause yet.

The chickies are doing great. We finally got the lamp perfected, and they slept through the night no problem. This morning the girls and I went in the bathroom and played with them a little. Actually the girls played, I cleaned.

Rob got his table saw last night, there was no way I was going to be able to get him to wait for the weekend. We ordered 5 rolls of hardware cloth from Amazon, which had the best price, and free shipping, although it still wasn't "cheap". We'll be using the hardware cloth on the roof of the run, and a combination of goat wire and trellis for the one wall. The other walls are the fence, and the side of the barn. I wanted goat wire for the walls so I can train vines up and over the run. The trellis is a small addition at the bottom, since the wall panels will only be five feet tall, and we need a total of six, the trellis will be two feet tall. One foot of just trellis, and a foot over the bottom foot the goat wire panels. If that doesn't make sense our pics in a few weeks will. big_smile.png

Time for dishes, laundry folding and vacuuming. Bye!

Starting at the back...The two Golden Buffs or Red Sex Links. The dark one on the left is Lula, and the bigger

lighter one is Lola. The one directly in front of them is Shen, the Silver Laced Polish. The front three...the

middle one with the cute yellow butt is Bardie (named by Rob) is the Barred Rock, and the biggest so far.

The two on the outside of her are the Silver Laced Wyandottes, and have yet to be named.

Now I thought i had more pics, but it turns out I only took a couple with the camera, the rest are on Robs iphone. Icluding a video of Shen falling asleep in 9 seconds, which Rob thinks is the funniest thing he's ever seen.

Well I'm worried about our little Polish. She's trying to sleep constantly. She is drinking water, so I guess that's good, but all the other chicks are hopping around her and she's just passed out. I really hope she's ok. Paige is already worried about her.

Edit-well I'm giving her sugar water. I'll go in every thirty minutes and have her drink more. It's really all we can do. It sucks because she was always the first to run over when we put our hands in, so we thought she'd end up being the friendliest.

Well my Braggs ACV got delivered this afternoon, which of course I ordered online, then saw it in the commissary the next day. I got some put in the chickies water, and hubby is bringing home some plain yogurt. Shen is doing a bit better. Drinking on her own, and hopping around a bit more, but not eating too much. I hope she'll eat some of the yogurt.
I already need to take pictures again. One of my Wyandottes is looking so pretty, I swear her stripes have changed, and our Barred Rock is getting bigger by the second. Besides the issues with the needy Polish, this is lots of fun.

Poor little Shen died. Paige cried and then demanded we get her another one.
Just don't think I want 8 more chicks just to get her one. We had already thought about getting another order so I can have my Easter Eggers and Silkies, but we decided to wait till next season.
Ok off to do the house stuff that got neglected while taking care of the sick chick.

I'm wondering why my two Silver Laced Wyandottes look so different from each other?001.JPG002.JPG

Since Paige lost "her" chick she decided she gets to name another one, so the Wyandotte with more stripes is now named Rhino. She attempted to re-name Lola, Shen Jr, but i told her she couldn't. So only one doesn't have a name now. They're all looking good and healthy, lets hope we don't lose anymore.005.JPG014.JPG

ok thats good for now.
