design for roll away nest box - Page 2

I am glad to find the pictures again.  I need to modify the boxes I made.  I have quite a few egg eaters now...GRRRR. barnie

I hate to cull them. I would have to start all over pretty much.
I think if the eggs roll out of reach it will help.

THANK YOU for posting those pictures!

We're right now in the design-and-OOPS-changed-my-mind-again phase of building our coop:lol:  I'm trying to get the most room & most efficient use of all my space (will be narrow but long with a loft space - 16'x4') and I've been trying to figure out how to do the nest boxes - these are beautiful!

If it wouldn't be too much trouble, I'd like to see the plans for these, too. I don't think I'll be changing my mind on THIS bit, and my teen age sons can get busy right away with building them while their father and I work on the coop itself.

If I PM you my email address, can I be added to the list of those hopefully receiving plans?

oh my gosh that is the best looking nest box I have ever seen!  I would love to see a picture of your coop.  I don't think my husband is going to like having to build all new nest boxes but my girls can't live without that!

I was surprised when I saw your nesting boxes. All I could say is great minds think alike. I actually designed and built mine without ever seeing yours. I'm glad I didn't see them sooner or I would still be trying to make them as fine. The main thing I wanted I have acomplished. I can gather the eggs from outside the coup. Now if I could just finish the coup instead of working on gadgets like a through the wall feeder and waterer, the poor birds might have a proper roof.

Take a look at my nesting boxes on my web site and try to believe we both had similar ideas rather than me copying your design. Whatever you think, believe me when i say your's are a finely finished version and I admire your detail. I am going to add a roost before I install them.

I was very impressed with your nest box.  I'll be watching for pictures of your coop when it's complete.  I just recently built a 3 wide 2 high rollout nest box for one of my coops.  It also mounts thru the wall but requires no doors since it is accessed from a service area in the coop.

I can not find the photos from opa's original post... I just see the URL and even when I cut and past all I see is a page stating that the pages I want can not be found. I am very interested in this type of nest box.  Any help greatly appreciated smile
