Fun pictures, chickenlickin!

Pretty ladies too.  Isn't it nice when they are all feathered out and clean and not pulled apart by roos or molting? lol

Reminds me of the 1985 hit by Klymaxx called "a meeting in the ladies room" ;-)

My girls should be laying any day now and i can see the same thing happening. I have 3 nesting boxes and the 3 girls sleep in one and the roo in another. I will have to get pics if the happens.

That's a crack up.  I need to get me a hen.  I just have one rooster that was supposed to be a hen.  hahaha

Nice. Our girls all like one of our boxes better than the others, but they haven't gotten in at the same time! We do have one that will sit out in the coop in front of the favorite box when it is occupied. She'll lay her egg there if the other hen doesn't get out quickly enough. I imagine she makes some mean clucks while she's doing it. smile.png

You sure do!! Chickens are social creatures who are unhappy living alone. Get him a hen, and nature will supply them with plenty of company. Actually, he needs about 3 hens or else he'll drive the one nuts with toooo much attention, plucking her poor back bald in the process.

I had four guys that liked to pile in the nest boxes. If all 8 of them could have fit they would have.

For those of you with young children, there is a great book called, "The Perfect Nest"  by Catherine Friend.  She is an acquaintance of mine and a wonderful author of other books as well, including "Hit by a Farm".  She is very entertaining!  You should check it out!  Every time I see more than one hen on the pile I think of her book.

That is my son's favorite book!!!!!  It is a wonderful book! All his other books are on the shelf, he keeps The Perfect Nest in his dresser.
