From one of my friends...
"A question: Isannah, our pearl guinea, is absolutely going bonkers today. She is the mouthy one anyway, but today has been whacko city!! She has been unhappy since the other three have gone, and clearly the two who are left, George and Nessa, are bonded, if not already actually mated. What can we do??? anything??? I would not be so concerned, but we do have neighbors who have to listen to this! Do we need to send her to Rachel's house, too [with the other 3]?"
I think they're too young to be mated (11 weeks old), but I'm not 100% positive. They won't mate until 16+ weeks, right? And I've already asked and been told that domestic guineas don't mate for life like swans. I have one boy with 6 girls, and was told that while the male may prefer one or two hens over the others, most male guineas will just take whatever hen they can get. My guineas go bonkers every once in a while too.
I told her that but thought I'd ask for advice here.
