Can I keep chickens in West Bloomfield, Michigan?

Hiya!

I SHOULD (not for sure) be getting 2 bantams next week and 4 buff orpingtons in July. I live in West Bloomfield. Are there any laws/ordinances against chickens there? Also, I live in a subdivision. How should I go about checking if it is okay? Also, we will be keeping the bantams INSIDE... Buff orpingtons OUTside... Thanks !

A WHOLE LOT of incubating eggs...

Hi panda, I'm likely moving to west Bloomfield in January, just wondering if you got your chickens and how it's going for you?

Hey all  on this thread,  I'm new to BYC, but plan to get more active.  I live in Troy MI and I'm trying to get our city ordinance changed. I've started a facebook group:  http://www.facebook.com/groups/193955827411150/   It's called Troy Michigan Backyard Chicken Movement.  Please provide any suggestions, join, or pass it along to people you know that would like to sign my petition.

thanks

Drew
