I might have a little to much time on my hands (lol) but I stick a bottle of water w/ electroyite mix in a half watermelon (kinda like a vodka/drunk watermelon, but you dident hear that from me ;p) then freeze it... I just started one tonight for my girls. The next 3-4 days here is gonna be HOT!!!!

Anytime we have watermelon or cantaloupe, I slice the rinds and freeze them. Then on hot days I give them to the chickens. They love them - and the smaller slices give them each their own to peck on for hours. It provides fluids - and it helps to cool them down.

my chickens love watermelon you know what else chickens LOVE white plumbs they like red plumbs but they LOVE white plumbs!
