Ouch!  That's got to hurt.

You clip off as much of the nail as you can and coat the toe in Blukote.  It should heal in short order.

Good luck.

OUCH!!  It definitely hurts them, because my lead hen broke a nail (not ALL the way up like yours) last year and limped around for two days.  I did clip it off, because I figured it'd snag on something and bleed worse.  And it will bleed more when you clip it - corn starch can help stop the blood.  Blue Kote is good.  I babied my girl for a day, kept her apart more so that she didn't get dirt and such shoved up in there, but I have no doubt she would have done fine if I'd just treated it and let her go...

Caretaker of a lovely mixed flock including: australorp, plymouth rocks, wyandotte, d'uccles, silkies, EEs, andalusian, and a few seramas, plus a golden retriever, great dane, and three cats.

Here is what it looks like five days after I clipped the nail off, she is walking normal today. It only dripped 5-6 drops of blood when I clipped it.

Looking good!  I had a dog peel her nail back like that.  OMG!  She bled like a stuck pig!  It was starting to get a little scary before it finally stopped.  I am glad your girl didn't have the same thing happen.

I hope she continues to recover.
