Thank you. And yes, Christmas FL is just east of Orlando. Nice rural area.

Hey Lisa, warning those plastic cable holders can be pushed right out and the plastic fencing is very easy to rip through. If a wondering dog or other predator comes along they can easily get through that. The shade cloth is a great addition, we use shade cloth panels to block the west setting sun, it makes a huge difference here with the sun. Enjoy the chicks.

Thanks for the warning. This tractor was meant for temporary use during the day. Dogs are not a concern since my property is fenced. Foxes, hawks and even an eagle are my concern. But I think the chicks should be fine since they are always close to the front porch. Hopefully with my dog and 4 cats and sons always going in and out , they will be safe there. The actual coop we will be building will be super secure with hardware cloth. We will let them free range sometimes and will have to take our chances with the predetors. I do have Guinea hens coming in a couple weeks to help with flock protection when they get big enough.

I see that you are not too far from us so you know how bad the sun can be here. I think the shade cloth will work out fine. I will probably work on that today, because of all the off and on rain we have had lately, I haven't had the chance. Thanks again.
