What is Niacin and what does it do?

Niacin is a vitamin that helps the nervous system develop and function properly, among other things.

Cannot say for sure but to be on the safe side I would give him niacin.  There is a possibility it was some kind of seizure which might indicate deficiency.  Many ducks seem okay on chick starter, but a number of them improve with extra niacin.

I agree...get him some Niacin....just add it to a gallon of water...(break or pull apart capsule and sprinkle it into the water)

 

 use it on my Muscovy's...

Bad news...I was going to go get the Niacin today but when I went out to check on her this morning she was dead..hit.gif I would really like to know what killed her..The other duck her age is healthy..Thanks for every ones input! It is appreciated! Now next time (if there is, hopefully not) I will know what to do!

By the way! I would like to use the Niacin on my other ducks for the vitamin but is it safe for the chickens? Thanks!

At least some states have agricultural colleges that will do a necropsy so you know exactly what happened.
