Yes, a lot of people offer two different sources of water for their ducks.  You can have one like this, or a nipple system, so they can take drinks but keep that water clean.  They will also need a tub, pool or pond to adequately clean themselves and dip their heads in.

No they don't need deeper water they will flip/vibrate their bills around to get nostril holes wet, they don't need to submerge nostrils. Deeper water is just asking for a super mess or drowned ducklings

A stackable storage bin,an upside down pie plate, and pine shavings is what i used in the kiddie pool brooder.....
NOW.......off to bigger and better....


2x4 boarder with OSB floor,trash bag,two landscape bricks, 3 gal waterer, and sweet PDZ
