Odd behaviour

I brought several chickens in 2 visits to the fur and feather market.  There have been no real problems with the girls (apart from the fact that one seems to find the best  dust bathing spots because as soon as she does everyone wants just that one spot)  I have 2 crested legbars and a cream legbar which are about 22 weeks old now and they seem to have picked a hen each and they follow them around sleep under their wings and it looks like they are treating them like a mum.  Has anyone else had this happen?  Is this normal or do I need to worrry?

When I put her to bed last night I noticed she didn't quite make it up on the perch so I put her on next to the favoured hen BUT on the wrong side how could i be so rude!!!!!! moved her over and she settled down.
