Buffy is our only Orpington. She is independent, lower on the pecking order, but big, fluffy and likes to cluck. She lays frequently when not broody. She's my only brooder so far that I have...

These are my first chickens, gifts from a daughter for Christmas. Once they started laying, it's rare to have a day without one egg from each hen. They come when I call them, stay close to the...

The trapper came yesterday and set a trap with part of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich inside. It wasn't even dark yet, and i was walking out back to get that scarecrow to set it. Here comes a skunk running across the yard. Of course, i skeddadled into the house. My husband went out and found one of the younger skunks in the trap, then the mom and other kid running around it. The trapper will come back today to get it, then reset the trap.
i actually did set up the cam game, but it malfunctioned, so no pictures.

If you move your curser over someone's name/title, some options open up. Third one down is "Send PM". Click on that and you can send a private message to someone.
As for silkie chicks. i'm not breeding now and have rehomed all my roosters. But there is a woman up in Lincoln, Sheri Minker, who breeds and sells silkies. She has won at shows for her beautiful birds. She usually has an ad on craigslist, and here is one of her current ads: http://sacramento.craigslist.org/grd/3182220661.html
