But over had 14 thru out the year with 2 that passed and 5 that ended up being roos ...out of 8 we have 1 that may be a roo so he will be rehomed if thats the case ... We had two ducks we had to rehome cause the drake was trying to mate my hens was sad cause we rasied them from a week old... But couldnt have any hurt chickens.... We got eggs to hatch so my 4 year old can learn the process ....we'll probably keep atleast one.... Will be too hard not too, and in the really near future have some runner duck eggs which i'll be keeping one a girl hopefully and giving some to my mom... These feathered friends are addicting... Especially the silkies. Sure youll be wanting more;)

We have a poultry auction in town every weekend.  So, if I'm over run with roos maybe they can be rehomed that way.

Ok i am about with you. a sort of dry hatch..Did mine this time at around 30% heard from  a few ppl  with good hatch results it works better  lower than 50%more eggs hatched for them   Mine varied from 22-39% humidity.

Mostly around  30. 22 or 25 in the early  am. Temp i kept real close to 99.5 give or take.5 or less (until today at lockdown when it went crazy  down to 96.8 .b/c i put too much  room temp water in, didnt warm it. DARN!!) Now i am aiming at 70 % humidiity and have been 69-75 so far.  Any of those are fine.

Anyway i had movement last night  in at least one.The 3 i have been thinking looked good all along still do

All look the same so my fingers are SO CROSSED!

Well, one of my chicks parents must have been a silkie or had silkie blood because both of them have 10 toes! But their legs are white. Can't wait to see what they'll look like in the future!

Yeah i have like 3 thermo. In the incubator on on the right side one on the left an one on the middle on top of the eggs... The 2 side that lay on the bottom 99.5 and the one on top 102... And humidity 75 went up when eggs hatched but lowered a little while after.... Day of lock down i slowly highered the humidity by the 1st pip it was barely 65 by the time i went to bed i had it at 75ish.... So far so good....

Congrats for those who have hatchlings and best wishes for the rest of the hatches!
