Thread Starter

HI, I finally joined, after a couple of years of coming here for any chicken information.  We have 4 chickens...

Buff Orpington

Splash Orpington

Black Copper Maran

Australorp

AND this week our Buff (Blondie)  hatched all 6 of the fertilized eggs we gave her!  As far as we know they are "mutts"  so it will be interesting.

Thanks for all the Terrific information here.

Oh, we are in Colorado.

Home of the world's cutest dachshund, one crazy blue heeler, two cats,
one fat pony, and many (but not too many!) chickens

Can anyone tell me, how many are too many chickens?

Hi and welcome-byc.gif

Glad you decided to join! Congrats on your hatch, that's so exciting. It would be fun seeing how the chicks turn out! I checked out your other thread, sorry to hear about your chick. Good luck. I agree with the replies, in the first photo your chick looks sort of like it has an eye. You should try the warm water.

Anyway, don't hesitate to ask any questions you might have, and enjoy the site. big_smile.png
