Help with ID please

Hi I am new to posting here but not new to reading all the great info.

I introduced myself in the Colorado forum. Thanks to all the Coloradoian's who welcomed me.

Can I get some opinions on what I have here please?

A friend got these from Randall Burkey it is the 'hatchery choice' mix...I will never do this again, not know what I am getting.

Anyway...any guesses?

The black and white ones are Barred Rocks. I'm still thinking on the other one.

The barred birds with the single comb are Barred Rocks.  I'm not all that familiar with game birds, but I would guess the 2 with salmon chests to be American Game pullets.

Hooray for barr rocks! I sent these pictures to Randell Burkey customer service and this is what they said;

 

"Thank you for your e-mail.   It's hard to specifically identify birds from a photo, and unfortunately, we don't keep a record of what is sent on hatchery choice orders.  It looks to me like the black and white birds are Dominiques, though you may also have Barred Plymouth Rocks as well.  You can tell the difference by their comb.  Barred Rocks have a traditional "single" comb, where Dominiques have what is called a "rose" comb.  More information on combs.  Based on the pictures, it looks like you may have two varieties of blue breeds.  It might be just the color in the photos, but one looks more like a Blue Andalusian, and my best guess would be a Blue Wyandotte on the other.   We hatch so few of the blue breeds that we do not traditionally offer them individually for sale, but occasionally we have some extra that we include in a hatchery choice assortment."

 

I don't think they are rose combs at all. Also, I don' t think the other ones are Andalusian or even close to Blue Wyandotte.

You absolutely do NOT have any Blue Andalusian or Blue Wyandotte's in that picture.  They are correct on the comb differences between the Barred Rocks and Dominiques - however, I see single combs, which makes them Barred Rocks.

 

Another possibility on those 2 with the salmon chests is Old English Game, though I'd still guess American Game.  The color on them is called silver duckwing.

Boo for game birds :(

Why would the hatchery send game birds on a laying assortment? Bummer.

The pictures of the game birds had grey or silver legs and my hens legs are bright yellow.

Yeah they're games.  Where that hatchery person was seeing a Blue Wyandotte or Andalusian is beyond me.  I'll have what they're having! @_@

She does kind of look like the one in the first picture, except my girl's head is a bit different & she doesn't have "yellow" legs.  The second picture is similar in coloring alone (besides the legs).  Your girl is much thicker & has the fluffy butt (sorry if there's a more technical term, I'm new to this).  Sorry you got them when you were expecting layers.  If yours are OEG too, hope you enjoy them as much as I do mine.  Not a lover, doesn't want attention, not the character that the others are either, but she's still one of our favorites.  I'll go into the coop & she's up in the rafters looking down at everyone else like, ha you can't do this!  She's more dove-like than chicken-like!

No they're too large to be bantams.  I'm with Happy Chooks on this one, I think they are American Games, Silver Duckwing pattern.  They will make good mothers if you decide to breed your birds.  And don't be surprised if they decide your trees or rafters are much more fun than the coop to sleep in :).
