Sumi..those grey chicks are actually blues and I cannot be sure without seeing the legs but I am almost positive she was hatching ameraucanas at that time however they could be blue orpingtons.  Tiny was supposed to be an ameraucana if I recall correctly.

Yeah, I just read that thread. Very nice story!

Cyn: I'm glad she pulled through and grew up and brought you so much joy. Had to smile when I read about her giving you the runaround, demanding attention! I raised a chick just over 2 years ago who did that. He was such a little brat! He'd start cheeping in the middle of the night, until I get up and go to him and he'd get all happy to see me and end up in our bed, just so I can get some sleep!

 

And I like how you say they "sing". I absolutely love that noise, never fails to make me smile!

Just caught up this morning. Sumi, those blues in that batch were blue Plymouth Rocks. Out of those came my beautiful Alice and Neela and the redheaded Rita.

Thanks! We're window shopping at the moment. Checking out all the different breeds. DH is very into looks. And he's got a thing about grey chickens.

Well dang, I thought the rocks were younger.  Cheyenne is always plotting...ever since we came home without Isaac she has been plotting.  Man she loves that rooster. 

 

 

Sumi...your husband has excellent taste....blues are indeed my favorites too just do not tell my Hector or My Little Love Rufus that I said that.  They are special too  :)

Yesterday, he got even braver-he grabbed Panda, my 4 year old barred Easter Egger. Oh, that didn't go as well as he planned. hide.gif

 

Panda walked by, he reached out and grabbed her head feathers, she struggled and yelled and he lost his grip. She turned on him like a raptor on PCP! He got his tailfeathers kicked but good! She was completely outraged by that young whippersnapper daring to touch her!
