Ok i will try not to confuse anyone here.

sometimes lately when i post something in a forum and hit submit it does not show it went threw so i hit it again still no luck, i ended up posting the same thing 6 times yesterday ,so this time i opened a new tab and checked and it is submitted but the original tab i started with still shows it's not submitted.

Been on the web 7 years and have never seen this before

Why is it doing this sometimes?

      Thanks for the help.

Don't know, I'm pretty new here and new to posting anywhere. I have noticed some days things move much more slowly. Could it be there's too much "traffic" on the site?  After losing a post (my fault, thought you could refer back a page within the thread while typing) I now make a copy before I move around to check off the page. Then it's simple to paste it back in. (You probably know all this, but as a technologically disinclined person, it's all magic and voodoo to me! big_smile.png)

Sometimes the server is slow. Be patient and only hit the submit button once and wait. Otherwise when the server catches up, it thinks you have wanted to post it each time you hit submit.

See the problem is is that it is posting but will not take me back to where i started the post, i can open another tab and look and it's posted but not showing it posted in the first tab i submitted it in,just like it's froze  it's weird and it does not happen all the time.

I waited 35 minutes after i hit submit and it did not show going threw,so i hit submit again and it went threw right away and found that the first submit had also.

I just don't want to have to retype stuff or have to go open another tab to see if it went threw, any ideas?

I have learned to refresh the page to get the updated version.  If I post, then use the back button, then the forward button, my post will not be there.  If I then hit refresh, it appears.  Something about how caches work, I think -- I certainly don't understand.  I don't even know if this will be helpful.

Guess i just have to deal with it and open another tab to make sure it is posted, it seems to happen only when i am posting a photo with what i typed.

Here are a few questions that will help us find, duplicate, and hopefully resolve the problem:

•  What is the URL of the page that you got the error or had problems?
•  Did you receive any error messages?  if yes, what were they? (please copy and paste the entire message, screenshots are best)
•  What were the exact steps you took before having the problem?  Please be as specific as possible so we can do exactly what you did.
•  How long has it been happening?  If only one time, what day and time did it happen?
•  Which browser and version are you using (eg., Firefox 3.5.9, Internet Explorer 7, etc.)
•  Have you logged out, deleted your internet cache / browser history of files, logged back in, and tried again?
•  Have you tried a different browser (we suggest Firefox or Chrome)?

Hi,

I've been off line for awhile.  I can't seem to figure out how to "post" into a topic.  I seem only able to "reply" so far.  I am able to acces Private Message, but don't usually use it.  Can you redirect me with instructions to add a "new post" into a subject, example, "What breed am I?"  Thanks a bunch and glad to be back on line!
