Hello all - I'm Mel and my family have 3 laying hens and 5 petites tweens.  We've been on the site here a lot, reading up, learning, etc. but today, my hen Paint passed because she couldn't breath.  :(  She was an Araucana and very sweet.  I took her to the vet asap and he thought she might have lung cancer.  He also mentioned infection.  All the other girls are looking good.  

 

Sooooo, that's me - sorry to introduce myself on a low note.  We all love our girls so much and take very good care of them.  It's a sad day.  :(

TIME is the best thing to spend on a child!
Always calibrate your hygrometer before you incubate!!
