Hi everyone, I'm Niki what a great site! I'm brand new to raising chickens and every time I would look up information about chickens it brought me here. Really who would think googling "weird chicken poo" would even get you anywhere? About 2 years ago I became very interested in raising goats and chickens (my dh would say obsessed) so we finally bought a house and I nagged enough that I got a chicken coop for Mother's Day :) I have 7 girls (well 1 could be a roo, that's still up for questioning) about 10 weeks old, 3 EE's, 2 RIR or production Reds and 2 Barred Rocks. These girls are a riot and so friendly. We live in Northern Nevada and are very lucky to have several friends to get advice from. Can't wait to get friendly with everyone here! I've already learned so much from here.
