Spook is so jealous...

Thread Starter

My neighbor just bought an AWESOME 2012

New Holland farm tractor. I think it has every bell

and whistle know to man.

He said he borrowed another friends tractor with

the cab and a/c, just had to have one for his own.

This thing has stereo, cd player, climate control,

sunroof, wipers, external 3-point controls.

You name it...he has it.

Even a GPS system. I admit, that one puzzled me.

I mean, like how often do you get lost in the field?

How long do you think I should wait before I ask him

if I can borrow it?

My Kubota doesn't have the cab and a/c...I feel so poor.

Okay, I admit I might have looked at a new one. But at

the $25,000 price tag, I like my old thing just fine.

Kubota tells me I can't simply buy a cab. I have to buy a

whole new tractor. My birthday is coming up...maybe I'll

leave a few flyers laying around...I've been a fairly good

husband this year.

I want a tractor with a/c...it isn't fair. He has one.

Awww, Spook, I don't have an extra 25 grand, if I did, well I wouldn't give it to you for a tractor...  maybe you can hook up a battery powered fan?  Solar powered AC?

Ken would just like his Kubota to work consistently.  *Will not let him see this thread*

Cannot let my Dh see this thread either! All I have heard for 3 years is how much he needs a tractor. He really wants all the bells and whistles. We do need something for the homestead, but that is about what we paid for our houseep.gif Cannot believe what it is going to cost to even buy a used basic tractor! we just can"t depend on our neighbors having time to plow for us. Maybe by next spring.

amazing husband who puts up with (and enjoys) an ever growing menagerie of chickens (two many to count)  I'M A HATCHAHOLIC! 1 wolf dog, I crazy rescue shepherd ,9 barn cats. Growing our own hops for home-brew. We moved here to retire, LOL

A tractor?  I gave-up on that Fantasy.

( I'd jest be HAPPY to git my ole rear-tine tiller runnin' and tillin' agin.)

Ya cain't "have it all".

BUT...maybe... one o' them-thar 4-wheelers with plow and tiller attachments....??

( no stereo or Air-conditioner reqd.)

A place to hold a cold beer would be NICE, however !!!

All I can say is www. AuctionTime.com. Most opening bids are only $100, some $1000.  Play it right and you could get one with a.c. rather cheaply.

Just a thought.

I would just like to have a tractor period. Doesn't have to have a/c or a radio. Maybe next year...

I have 2 tractors don't care about all that digital stuff more to go wrong that DH can't fix, i like plain jane cause many times mine are outside for a month at a time .

One of my tractors is a 4505 with a great ben backhoe and front end loader i could push my house with it, i love beast.

I looked at them , they are fine, but i spent my money on a bulldozer, now thats a hoss.love.gif

Not to make anyone feel bad or nothing - but I love my  Kubota 3830.  No cab or air, but all the ooph I need.  Came with a backhoe, quick-change bucket and forks (well worth the extra $ for the quick change by the way!), brush hog, 6" snowblower, and a heavy duty trailer.   And cup holders.  We are so fortunate to live in an area that requires air conditioning about 3 days a year hmm.png.

Home of the world's cutest dachshund, one crazy blue heeler, two cats,
one fat pony, and many (but not too many!) chickens

Can anyone tell me, how many are too many chickens?
