That's a handful! My Marans girls lay a big, rich, dark egg.... I wish the SFs laid bigger eggs, they seem so tiny in comparison hmm.png

Do you like your RIRs? I haven't tried them, yet. The EEs get me, I love those little muffs! - I hope they are more flock friendly than  the Ameracauna...

I have Ameraucanas and Golden Comets. I must say that they both are very calm, sweet, and lay tones of eggs. They both lay large to huge eggs. When the comets are free ranging they walk under my feet until i sit on our picnic table and that scratch around me. I love them both but as far as temperament goes i like the comets the best but just by a hair. Ameraucanas lay cool blue eggs tho.

Yeah, I love those blue eggs. I must be the only one on BYC that has unfriendly Ameraucanas! - Of course, they seem ok towards me, it's just the other hens they beat up on rant.gifEveryone is afraid of them....

"Easter eggers" can be Ameraucanas that just do not meet the standards, but they should have similar personalities if they both came from Ameraucana parents. An "easter egger" can be other types also since it is not a breed.
