??Show Quality Polish??

One of my friends gave me 6 little Polish chicks about a year ago, i think they turned out to be very pretty birds.  But the problem is that i know nothing about Show quality birds.  so what do you think? are they SQ?

Give it a try. I like the first Roo.
 

I have Bantam welsummers, Bantam Cuckoo Marans, Bantam Wc black polish, Bantam Olive eggers, MGB, LF Welsummers, BCM, Wild type turkeys RioxEastern, Ringneck pheasants blacks and 1 blue roo and bunch of free range birds

I'm not 100% confident on my skills in evaluating show quality polish, but I really like the look of the bird in the first pic.  They are all beautiful.  It is fair season and usually entries are only $2-$5per bird where I live.  Worth a try to see what a judge thinks.  Good luck!

I've seen worse but they have some problems. As to the female, Splash is not a recognized variety in Polish so the best she could do is Best variety. However, type wise she's the best of the birds pictured. The males are consistant in their weak points. First, their wings are carried too low. They should be "well folded & carried wothout drooping". Colour wise their main tails are too light and the feathers aren't laced. The crests too are lacking lacing.

However as I said I've seen worse so go ahead & show them. They are in beautiful condition which shows they've had great care & condition is worth 10 points.

thanks for everyones input.  Like i said, I know nothing about shows and SQ birds.  I think ill give them a try.  Once again thanks for helping me out and giving me some knowlage about shows smile.png
