Was the swelling that bad before you cut into it?

What happens when you try to bend the toe thats most swollen? does she flinch or start wiggling? If she doesnt like when you move it i would say its a broken toe. This happend to my one female runner couldnt tell you how she did it, thought it was bumble fott which i went and got her xrays and it was a healing broken toe. took about 2-3 weeks for her to stop limping after her being pened for a week because i thought she had bumble foot. I would keep and eye on it, if the swelling gets worse then it maybe an infection if its not an infection id say the swelling should start to go down rather then get worse

I would start with twice a day Epsom salts solution compresses*, followed by slathering triple antibiotic ointment top and bottom and up the leg.  Epsom salts is a laxative so don't let the duck drink it.

Is the leg swollen at all?

There is generally no pus with bumblefoot, some people report a cottage cheese-like material in the wound.

If there is something in those scraped spots that will slow down the healing process.

*Dissolve a few tablespoons Epsom salts in a quarter cup of warm water in a shallow dish (preferably unbreakable or at least replaceable)

Soak a clean wrap or washcloth, or several paper towels in the solution in the dish

Have someone hold the duck if you can to make it easier, and wrap the cloth around the foot up the leg.  Do your best to hold the duck still for up to five minutes.  Even a few minutes is likely to help.

Wipe the foot with antibiotic ointment

Id go with a broken toe, i spent 86 dollers on a broken toe!! I hope the best for em!!
