red, stormy, and dot are all cockerels. reds saddles should be able to be seen coming in when you part the feathers at the base of the tail and his hackles should be changing to be slider and pointed as well

Are you positive on Stormy and Dot?  The breeder was pretty sure they were pullets....  I will for sure contact her if they aren't.  That is a big no want as I wanted Maran Hens specifically.

red, stormy, and dot are cockerals. You can see the darker shoulder patches coming in on Red, should start getting some pointed feathers soon (neck and back).

Unless those Marans are going to lay eggs in the next few days(which they arent old enough to), they are cockerals hmm.png

PS, you are right on all the breeds too

I agree, red stormy and dot are boys. Your four month pullets have way less comb and color than those young boys.

You look right on the breeds, too.

Absolutely give the sellers a chance to make it right. I'd be quite upset if I made an honest mistake and someone didn't give me a chance to right it.

Well, the kittens aren't so cute anymore and the easter egger cockerels are in the freezer. Plus, I think offering them as "prizes" scared folks off! So, I'm still posting quotes, if you know it let me know. I'm very enamored of this new one, it may hang around for a while!
