Poults are not HELPFUL!

So I thought since their run is done and their coop is 95% done I'd take the poults out to their new digs while I worked on the last bits that needed doing! Not a good plan. Trying to work with poults attacking your boots laces or trying to steal your nails is not easy. They have no fear at all of my drill or hammering. Every time I bent down they'd all run over to see if I had a snack. I had to push them aside to find what I needed. I set the ladder up and before I could put a boot on it there were poults bouncing up and down it.

5 acres, 2 dogs, 1 cat, 6 ducks, 1 husband, and an ever expanding number of chickens.

I wish mine were like that. They are afraid of everything. I don't get it. The last two turkeys I had were BBB & they were so friendly & nosy. The two I have now are afraid of their own shadow!

LOLOLOLOLOL!!! Ours are exactly the same way, curious til it hurts. I can't walk in the yard without them piling on me pecking at my wedding ring and pulling my hair. We were using twist ties to fix a fence problem and they kept untying the twist ties and pulling them off. Luckily they didn't eat any of them. They are especially helpful in the garden weeding department. They will jump right in the garden bed and start digging if we don't pull and feed them the weeds fast enough.

Barred rocks, red sex link, silver wyandotte, white leghorns, mottled cochin banty, silkie, blue swedish and khaki campbell ducks, meat rabbits, white holland turkeys, turtles, cats, and as much garden space as one can cram into a small urban yard half given over to the chickens

They stay that way when they are grown too so if it's small and something they can move don't leave it where they can get at it or it will disappear.
