No, it has a regular pea comb and slate colored legs.  I was surprised it didn't have a blue/green egg.  It's hatchmate, however. does have a small comb, no beard and just laid her first sea foam green egg at 31 weeks old.  I guess that;s what is so fun about EE.....you never know what you will get!

Found my first egg this morning, when I went out to check on the girls.  Born 4/22/2012, I have 5 girls, and have no idea which one of them laid the egg.  I have a decent idea, based on the comb that it's probably 1 of 2, but I won't know for sure.  This morning was the first morning I actually noticed that the nest boxes have been disturbed, though.  The egg was found outside the coop, in the pen, next to the door that I let them out.  Didn't see it until I let them out, and took me a minute to believe it is what I wanted it to be.

The egg is quite small, but I'm okay with that for the first one!  This first picture makes it look a little smaller than it is, my hand is a little higher above it than I first thought.

How exciting!  Pretty color.  I have 4 EE's and all FOUR of them laid their first egg either out in the run or in the floor of the hen house!!!  None of my other chickens did that!  Don't know what was up with my EE girls.  But they have it all figured out now.  Yours will too!  tongue.png

I didn't get any pictures of that NN egg yet. She's laid two so far. One on Sunday, and one on Tuesday. I stuck both in the incubator with my bantam Ameraucana eggs hide.gif

Jenikate, I have an EE girl that looks a LOT like your Taz! This is her.  She lays a bright green egg though, strange how they can look so much alike but lay different colors!

Well I have a confirmed second EE layer!  She's been laying for a couple weeks now, but I wasn't sure because come to find out she lays exactly the same color as Jewel.  I found 2 pretty green eggs today big_smile.png

Who: Jolly Roger

She was a very dark brown, almost black chick with a slightly lighter belly.

Where: Cackle Hatchery, MO

When: 28 weeks

What: The green one, of course wink.png

2 down, 3 to go! Come on girls! Sometime this year please! They are all 30.5 weeks now...But Chichi looks like she's next in line! Only one doesn't look close. I love this color green so I'm happy with 2 laying this color, but I'm hoping for some blue too! And maybe an olive...it's so fun waiting for the mystery to end!

So, I have finally gotten my act together for a few minutes to be able to FINALLY post all my EE girls' eggs!!!  wink.png  And, I finally caught them on a day they all laid pretty close together!!!  (I did post my first EE layer earlier. But I am going to post all 4 now.)

WHO:

Brown Sugar

Amelia

Goldie and Muffie

WHERE: From Privett Hatchery in NM

WHEN and WHAT:

(The fancy labeling is thanks to the computer talents of my wonderful husband!)

I find it interesting that the eggs from my clean-faced EE's (Brown Sugar and Goldie) are more matte in color and rougher feeling.  And, the eggs from my muff-faced EE's (Amelia and Muffie) are smooth and shiny.  You can even see in the picture the two middle ones have a gloss to them.
