Hey everyone,

 

I've been lurking forever but never posted... I was always able to find answers to my questions and concerns by searching around the forums. 

 

But I'm finally coming out of hiding to share my new video, starring my own little flock of four hens. 

 

Quick warning: there are a few PG-13ish words in the song, in case you have young children around...

Oh my gosh....this is the greatest thing I have seen all week!!!  I lol'd!!  And what pretty blue eggs your EE(s) lay(s)!! I hope mine turn out that blue, guess I'll find out in August...

3 Welsummers, 8 Cinnamon Queens, 2 Easter Eggers, 1 barred rock, 1 Blue Wheaten Ameraucana, 1 leghorn/ameraucana cross, 2 RIR and 7 EE/OE chicklets, 6 rabbits, 1 mischievous housecat, one Catahoula bulldog, and one amazing husband to share it all with!  Just call me coop queen!

3 Welsummers, 8 Cinnamon Queens, 2 Easter Eggers, 1 barred rock, 1 Blue Wheaten Ameraucana, 1 leghorn/ameraucana cross, 2 RIR and 7 EE/OE chicklets, 6 rabbits, 1 mischievous housecat, one Catahoula bulldog, and one amazing husband to share it all with!  Just call me coop queen!

Thanks, guys. It's almost freakish how attached I've gotten to these hens. Are we a bunch of crazy people, us chicken-lovers? Glad I found people who can appreciate them...

I think we are probably a little bit crazy.  I don't know how many times I've gotten laughed at for playing/talking with my chickens, but I am a chicken lover and proud of it!! I'm sure all the other BYCers feel the same way, and there is a sense of camaraderie in mutual craziness :D

I spit out my tea laughing when this started playing!!!!  This was absolutely wonderful.  I'm sending this thread to my sister since she has chickens too.  Great Job  clap.gif

I love it!  When I am not busy taking care of my birds, I have actually been known to search youtube by typing in the words "dancing chicken".  Up until now the only really good chicken dance video was the techno chicken video.  Thanks for posting this -  I can't wait to show it to my husband.
